Dhamma Teachings/Books

The Dhamma Teachings of Ajarn Maha Bua in London
Description
“Buddhism is derived from practice. The Buddha himself practised until he fully understood the true nature of Dhamma; only then did he begin to teach others. Buddhists, therefore, understand the importance of practising meditation and training themselves according to the teachings. When they are not put regularly into practice, the knowledge and understanding gained from learning will not bring satisfactory results. So you should learn about and practise the moral precepts until they become higher morality, and learn and practise all the different levels of wisdom until you reach the level of higher wisdom. You must then practise until you truly reach freedom from dukkha and escape from the round of repeated birth and death. Because of that, practice is the most important part of Buddhism.”

Patipata – The Venerable Ajahn Mun’s path of Practise
A book on the Venerable Ajarn Mun and his way of practising
Description
Venerable Acariya Mun Bhuridatta Thera is a towering figure in contemporary Thai Buddhism. He was widely revered and respected during his lifetime for the extraordinary courage and determination he displayed in practicing the ascetic way of life and for his uncompromising strictness in teaching his many disciples. During the 50 years since his
death, he has assumed an exalted status in Buddhist circles and thus remains an overshadowing presence whose life and teachings have become synonymous with the Buddha’s noble quest for self-transformation.
Although Acariya Mun (pronounced to rhyme with “sun”) left no written record of his own, this biography, compiled by one of his close
disciples some 20 years after his death, is largely responsible for introducing his life, his achievements, and his teachings to a broad section of Buddhist society. Through the widespread popularity of this book, many Thai Buddhists have been given fresh hope that the spiritual
liberation which the Buddha proclaimed to the world over 2,500 years ago, and which has been attained by so many aspirants over the succeeding centuries, is still accessible in today’s modern age. Many Thais have expressed the view that they had lost confidence that magga, phala, and Nibbana were still relevant today. But, by reading Acariya Mun’s biography, they realized that accounts of these exalted attainments are not mere fragments of ancient history, dead and dry – but a living, luminous legacy of self-transcendence accessible to any individual who is willing and able to put forth the effort needed to achieve them. They have come to understand that Buddhist monks, with their distinctive robes and monastic vocation, are not merely clerical figures representing The Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha: some of them are indeed living proof of the Truth presented in the Buddha’s teaching.

Thank you sincerely for posting these books.
All the files you made available on the download page are downloaded with a genuine appreciation towards the effort you’ve taken in order to spread these files.
I will put the new pdf books on my mobile phone, I’m sure I’ll enjoy reading them at times when I’m travelling and can contemplate on the wise words of these masters, instead of being carried away in unconscious thoughts when the mind wanders uncontrolled by itself.
The mp3 files of the kata’s are helpfull as well. Although I know you already do much more than could be asked for, I would still like to ask you if there would be a possibility to post the written texts for the chanted kata’s..or if there’s any link to find the words belonging to these kata’s.
Thank you again!
I shall try to find the texts and if not then i shall write them myself and post here for you
