Hanuman stretches his tail

The Vanora King (Hanuman) enlarges himself and uses his tail to stretch across the river, for the Vanora soldiers of Phra Ram's army to use as a bridge to cross with.
After freeing the Yaksa Phaklan from his curse in pandta lake,the three Vanora warriors (Ongkot, Hanuman and Chompoopan) journeyed onwards and came to the kingdom of Mayan, where they encountered the lady Nang Busamalii. Nang Busamalii gave them the necessary directions to continue the journey to Langka, and they continued their travels. Along the way, they met lady Nang Suwannamalii, who told them to cross the sea andonce having reached the other shore, should find and ask the Ruesi Hermit Chadila for further information as to how to reach the City of Langka.

Once Hanuman had succeeded in taking the Vanora army across the sea, he rushed to the Ruesi Chadila and asked for directions; Chadila explained that they should travel to Mount Hmedtiran, which was the bridge-port to Langka, and the vanora legions set off to the next destination on the quest to Langka. On the way, Hanuman came across Nang Busamalii, who was cursed by phra Isworn (Lord Shiva), to be forced to watch over a small palace. When Nang Busamalii discovered that the Vanora were the soldiers of Phra Ram, she immediately told them which path to take on their journey onwards to Langka. Hanuman then took nang Busamalee as his Consort (wife) - she was his first wife in the story (Hanuman had a casanova like personality and took more than one concubine in the ramakian story). The Monkey general then removed the curse of Phra Isworn and threw Nang Busamalii high up into the sky until she reached the celestial realms, where she landed and was able to remain. Consequently, The three vanora soldiers encountered nang Suwannamalii, who had been sent by Phra Isworn to await their arrival, in order to assist them in pointing the way on to Langka.


On receiving the necessary directions and information, the three monkey warriors crossed to the other shores and found Chadila Ruesi, who agreed on being their guide and travelled along with them to point out the way. At this point, hanuman performed a miracle (Nimit gay - นิมิตกาย increased in size), and used his gigantic tail as a bridge to allow the regiments of Vanora soldiers to cross the waters to meet with the Ruesi.
